Basic Properties
LOCTITE 542 is a one-component brown acrylic sealant (dimethacrylate ester) with low viscosity (400-2,750 cP @25°C) and thixotropy. It cures anaerobically in confined metal thread gaps, specifically engineered for sealing and locking pipe fittings, specific gravity 1.06@25°C.
Core Characteristics
It forms a medium-strength seal resisting vibration-induced loosening. Key advantages include:
